Committee Meeting Minutes 11th April 2005 |

PRESENT: Martin Rogers (Chair), Peter Jennings (Secretary), Richard Tomes U16, Robert Holden , Mick Laybourne U10, Joanne Rogers, Peter Marriott U12, Richard Metcalfe U11, John Mcevoy U9, Ian Heaven U8, Christian Kent U8, Caroline Lovett (Child Protection), David Slater U9, Gary Horton U9, Martin Cobley U10, Roy Hausley U7. Phil Cotton U11, Various Under 11 parents. MATTERS ARISING: Apologies - Susan T, Minutes of previous meeting accepted, proposed John M, seconded Martin C. CORRESPONDENCE: New level 1 Coaching dates at Marley Keighley starting May 23rd onwards cost £70. LEAGUE MEETINGS. CHILD PROTECTION. New child protection cards received and distributed to team managers, Allan Doherty still outstanding, Caroline stated it has been a very difficult task collecting all the info from managers , those who have been on the child protection course over 3 years ago will need to renew and take another 3 hour course. Caroline proposed that club managers take the course together all at the same time, seconded Ian H, all in favour. The committee would like to give a big thanks to Caroline for all her hard work. SCHOOL PITCHES. John M still awaiting a reply from school re- use of pitches during week. FUNDRASING. John M proposed Sat 2 July for the sponsored walk, all in favour. WEB SITE. Need 3 players for the next seasons U11s. - John M to put on site. DADS MATCH. Please let Martin R know numbers from each age group ASAP. NEW CHAIRMAN. John M stated he would be willing to take over later in the year. NEW SECRETARY. No volunteers as yet. MANAGERS COMMENTS: U16s. Won last game 4-2 - played well. U13s. Playing well towards the end of the season. U12s. Going well in the end of season presidents cup, last training session at Beckfoot this week. U11s No games played but still training, Training on Rec from now on. U10s. A. Playing against U11 on Tues night, still need 3 players for next season. U10s Eagles. 1 game left, Won 1 lost 1 from last 2 games. U9s A. Good end to season, won 3 out of 4 last games. U9 Eagles. Played last game, lots of friendlies lined up, having break between mid July to mid August. U8s . 2 games left, can still finish 2nd, disappointed with league play off rules will try and attend Keybury meeting to voice opinion U7s . Played 2 physical games against Long Lee, lost and drew, much better end to season. SOCIAL EVENTS: Golf day Friday 13 May , please contact John Mc ASAP. FUN DAY. Christian stated that he would do club BBQ, Ian will check to see if any small games can be sold. A.O.B U11s Parents. Various parents attended the meeting and passed a letter to the committee. The parents sated that their children had only played 4 friendly games this season and that £65 subs was a lot to pay. Chairman explained the clubs costs and Richard M explained the problems the team had encountered this season. Parents were asked to leave the meeting while the committee discussed the situation. It was proposed by Ian H that a £20.00 discount on subs to be paid for the new season 05/06 be given to U11 parents, new players to pay in full, this was seconded by John Mc. It was further proposed by Caroline that the club issue a letter to the parents thanking them for their support, seconded Martin C - all in favour, PJ to draft. SUMMER TRAINING.
