TRAINING: Training now at Beckfoot, training fees to be paid to the treasurer clearly mark “training”@ £2.00 per player. EQUIPMENT: New goal nets for goals behind Eldwick School to be ordered. MANAGERS COMMENTS: U14’S Not going too well at moment, played very well last match but lost 6-3 to Silsden. U13’S Played 4, Won last 3 games and beat top of league this week, all players full of enthusiasm and generally on the “up”. U12’S Played 4, Won 2, Lost 2, first season at 11-a-side. All going well. U11’A First year at 11-a-side, looking to end up in middle of league after preliminary league, getting used to off side rule. All playing well U11’Eagles Recruiting new players, now have squad of 13, playing “tight games”. Will hopefully keep all players for next year when we go 11-a-side.U10’ Eagles Won first game 4-0, all players playing very well. U10’ Falcons First League Game won 4-2, good performances from all players. U9’S 3 games, 3 Wins, played new team on Sunday and commanded the game, all players are clicking into place. U8’S Not Available U7’S Won 1, Drawn 1. 23 players now available, mixture of Eldwick & Bingley team. Will look at splitting Eldwick/Bingley but will ask parents first. All players happy and getting a game. Training at Beckfoot, playing at Crossflatts. SOCIAL EVENTS Golf Day 7.10.05, details on Website. GRANTS AVAILABLE: The money allocated to Eldwick from housing Developers is £125,000 approx £45,000 is to be spent on Eldwick Rec. Discussed if it is possible to invest this to achieve a large grant from the F.A. Trying to get Ian Day from Bradford Council to attend a meeting to discuss this further. FUNDRAISING Bonfire Night: Need to involve managers and parents in: Raffle, selling tickets and donations. BBQ & Sale of flashing toys etc. Race Night, venue TBA, provisionally 27th January. A.O.B. T&A photos recently taken will be printed in the forthcoming booklet, details to follow. Proceeds from sponsored walk to be announced in Eldwick Newsletter when we have a final figure and on EJFC website. Martin Rogers & Phil Cottam have spare kits if anybody needs one. Peter Marriott noticed an attempted break-in at the Rec charging rooms, Peter Marriott & Peter Jennings made them temporarily secure, now access is only available via left hand door. Need to make the changing rooms more secure, better locks etc. report back at next meeting.
