Welcome; To the final newsletter for this campaign. One final game to report. 20/04/08 – Home v. Shipley Panthers. Result 0-0 MOTM: Chris POTW: Stevie. A great performance from start to finish and a thrilling game. Both keepers did well, theirs being slightly busier than ours ! A great way to finish the season. Annual Player Meeting; Thanks for attending last weeks Annual Player Meeting on Tuesday, 29th April. Delighted that Chris won Players ‘Player’ of the Season for his brave displays in goal and that Mat won the Managers ‘Player’ of the Season for his influential performances throughout the season. Well done both. Here’s a photo of Mat & Chris receiving their trophies.
5-a-side Tournament; Don’t forget, we’ve entered two five a side teams for the annual Burley Tournament on Saturday morning, 17th May. Note your diary. Details near the time. Tour of Old Trafford; Everyone who went seemed to enjoy the tour, including X Factor ! A great day out. Merger News; As announced at the recent players meeting, it is intended to join forces with the U12 Eagles next season. This will bring a number of advantages to both teams and move the club forward at U13 level. Training; Continues on Tuesdays at 6.00 pm at Eldwick Rec. Will continue until end of June and will involve the U12 Eagles, so the players can start to work with each other. As always, wear boots, shin pads and bring water. Try to be on time ! Season’s Objectives; All achieved. These were to… - Have fun. √ - Be sporting. √ - Play for the team, encourage each other. √ - Always do our best, includes training. √ - Achieve more points than last season. √ - Respect the Referee. √ - Play beautiful, passing football. √ Manager’s Message; Thanks for a great season of entertaining football.
